Earlier this week, I had an interview with The Quartz specialist Thomas Lam to talk about how he managed to conclude the deal.
Brandon: Who is the purchaser and what motivated the purchaser to secure this property?
Thomas: The purchaser is from Melaka who has been looking for a property for their son. He opined that the pricing of the property is attractive given its strategic location, freehold tenure and astonishing city view from the rooftop. Apart from that, the property offers them the flexibility to utilize the property for investment.
Brandon: Do you have a lot of listings in other areas?
Thomas: Yes, I have several listings in areas such as Puncak Bertam, Cheng, Malim and Kampung Lapan.
Brandon: Generally, what do you think about the current market sentiment from the buyers' perspective?
Thomas: For new launching properties, it is now the buyers market and there are notable amount of buyers looking for their desired properties. This is due to the extension of the Home Ownership Campaign by the Government to encourage home purchase.
As for the secondary market, the property price is stable and have the potential to appreciate in certain favorable locations. Purchasers will only able to get lower price if the owner is in urgent need of cash.
